Q&A

What are some of your wedding planning tips?

When it comes to the wedding day, I suggest planning your timeline based on the sunset, so that your schedule will allow for your couple photography to be done near the end of the day. The best light starts about two hours before sunset and will give a softer and more romantic look to the images.

Always give yourself extra time. Whether it’s hair & make-up that takes longer than expected or traffic that slows your arrival to the ceremony, you should always be generous with your time. If everything stays on schedule, great! You just have a little extra time to relax and prepare.

When it comes to the getting ready pictures, it's always better for the photography to be done in a neat room. Have someone in charge of keeping the rooms tidy.

Choosing the time for the ceremony is important. Don’t be afraid to start it later on in the day, however if your day calls for an earlier ceremony, try and find a shady spot for you and your guests. Also, keep in mind your positioning during the ceremony. Do you want your back to your guests or do you want to be able to see them during the ceremony? Will the sun be behind you or in front? All of these have an effect on the final pictures.

Do you work with a second shooter?

Yes, depending on the size of the wedding. For very small intimate weddings, I feel comfortable shooting alone. For larger weddings, I bring along a second shooter.

Do you charge a travel fee?

For weddings in Quebec outside of the Mont-Tremblant & Montreal area and in Jamaica outside the Negril - Montego Bay & Negril - Black River area, there is a 200$ travel fee.

For a wedding that requires more than a 2-hour travel, there is 300$ travel fee, plus 1 or 2 nights hotel stay depending on where the wedding is located and the duration of the coverage.

For international and out-of-province weddings, the travel fee is usually 3 nights stay and the cost of flight and transportation.

All travel arrangements are made by me.

After the wedding day, when do we receive our photos?

From May to September, wedding photos are delivered within 6 to 8 weeks. Between October & April you can look forward to seeing your images in 4 to 6 weeks.

How many photos do you deliver?

When shooting alone, I usually deliver anywhere in between 50-75 images per hour of shooting, when working with another photographer, that number goes up to about 75-100 per hour. It all depends upon the day's activities.

Do you offer weddings albums?

Yes I do. All designed by me with you in mind. They are available in different sizes and finishes.

What about prints?

Yes, I offer that too. I print my images in a variety of sizes on archival fine-art paper. I also have beautiful high-quality print boxes, that you can personalize, to keep all your favorite images from your day.

What happens once we decide to book?

A contract will be sent to you and a retainer of 50% is required with the signed contract. The balance of the payment will be due within the 30 days of your wedding. I will also be sending you a form to fill out with all the information I may need for your day.

Our wedding is a mix of English & French, do you speak both languages?

Yes, I do! I’m fluent in both languages.
